Stewart is a former two time Alabama State champion for Berry/Hoover High School and wrestled on scholarship for Carson-Newman College in the 90s.
He has an unmatched passion for wrestling and is ready to create the next generation of Skulls mat warriors.

Scott is a former University of Minnesota scholarship wrestler and is Alabama's J. Robinson connection. Scott wrestled under the Hall of Fame college coach before arriving as a Berry/Hoover High School coach in the early 90s.
As an assistant and as head coach, Scott guided many Hoover wrestlers and teams to state championships.

Hayden Hill was a two time Alabama state champion and five time state placer.
He was also a three time National High School All- American, including
two trips to the national semifinals.
Additionally he trained and competed internationally with Athletes in Action under the tutelage of Olympic gold medalist John Peterson.
Delicia was introduced to wrestling as an adult, however, is not new to competition. This former level 10 competitive gymnast is joining the team to help the female wrestlers practice and hone their skills.
She is married and her son, Corey, wrestles in the youth program.

The Skulls family welcomes Delicia and looks forward to her assistance in building the girls wrestling program and developing strong female wrestlers.
Coach Bobby Lee joins us again with his son Crawford. Coach Lee was part of the Bucs 2003 state championship team and starter for the Bucs.
Coach Lee spearheads our recreation team and devised many of the wreslting oriented games we implement to teach the sport of wreslting in fun game format.
Matt grew up wrestling in Columbus, Ohio and graduated from Ohio State University.
Matt is married to Nicole and has two boys, Kasey and Jackson. Kasey is a senior wrestler for Hoover High, and Jackson was the 80 pound Bantam weight class 2021-2022 Alabama Youth State Champion.
Matt has a passion for helping
young athletes learn the sport of wrestling.
We introduce the sport with a mix of fun and technique. We use wrestling drill games that all ages enjoy. These drills are the building blocks for their future success. Youth wrestlers must have three years experience for the summer program
Hoover High School was the home of the very first Alabama Girls State Wrestling Championships in January 2021. We welcome girls into our Skulls family for PeeWee, Middle, and High School levels #BamaGirlsWrestle #HooverGirlsWrestle #WrestlelikeaGirl
We teach techniques that win championships for K-6, Middle School, and High School. Our program covers folkstyle, freestyle, and greco wrestling. Our system is built on proven techniques for new and existing wrestlers ready to increase results.
All area wrestlers are welcome and do not have to attend or plan to attend Hoover Schools to participate
